Rachael Recommends July 2021

It's time for July 2021's Rachael Recommends!

Here's a list of great fitness and food products our team loves this month!

Food paint for Kids

Often times fun food for kids is full of dyes, chemicals, and ingredients that I wouldn't feel good about offering my child. This is not so with Noshi's Food Paint! It's really fun for kids to "decorate" their food, and it's great as a parent to feel good about the things I make available for my child to eat. My son and I "paint" waffles and pancakes at breakfast, but it would also work well on toast, oatmeal, and fruit.

Thorne Research Curcumin Supplement

This content is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of your physician or other qualified health providers with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition.

I really like this curcumin supplement to help reduce inflammation. I have long-term personal experience with it and did find that it helped with my overall inflammation. I saw multiple positive effects in my body while taking it regularly. Lately, I have found myself recommending it frequently during nutrition consultations. Clients who have food sensitivities, joint pain, injuries, and hormonal problems are some of the "complaints" I suggest this supplement be used to address and improve.

Massage Ball

I love my massage ball. It's a perfect complement to a foam roller. While the roller can massage areas of the body one way, the massage ball can access areas of the body in another. It's no surprise that the ball is best for smaller muscular targets. With it, you can apply pressure with your body weight to really "dig deep" into tight areas and work out knots and scar tissue. I use it for my glutes, hip flexors, upper back between my shoulder blades, and feet the most. Purchase at HAPT or via Amazon.

Coconut Wraps

Click the link and check them out! Before you pass judgment, let me say that I was skeptical at first, too. They seem strange. They seem even stranger when you purchase them and open them! However, they are a good alternative to a tortilla and for quick meals. Personally, I really enjoy the taste! I use these wraps for Mexican burritos, breakfast burritos, and lunch wraps. They're made with clean ingredients and add an ever-so-slight crunch. Give 'em a shot!

I hope you enjoyed this month's list. It is true; I would not put my name on any product that I didn't feel added to the quality and overall health of your life!

Cheers!
